Hand thrown using Iron buff clay this Moon Jar was hand carved and then fired using the Anagama technique for 72 hours using elm wood from Wytham Wood, Oxfordshire.
ANAGAMA FIRED: Anagama means 'cave' and the kiln was constructed to plans based on archaeological investigations of this ancient type of pottery kiln, brought to Japan from China in the fifth century.
